The Causes of the Ummah’s Defeat - PART 2

Dr. Rāghib As-Sirjānī

.
The fourth disease from the disease of the Islāmic Ummah - and it is a very, very dangerous disease - is the abandonment of Jihād, my brothers…
As a natural result of the immersion in the Dunyā and the luxury that exceeds the limit, the Muslims have abandoned Jihād, and they satisfied themselves with marching at the tails of other nations. And the Muslims have accepted what their enemies have called As-Salām (peace), when it is clearly Istislām (submission). The Muslims during the time of the Tattār did not understand, just as many of the Muslims in our time now do not understand, that the fundamental way to return the plundered rights of the Ummah is Jihād, and though peace may be the correct solution in certain circumstances, it cannot be the suggested choice if the rights of the Muslims have been looted, and if their blood is spilled, and if they are expelled from their lands, and if their Religion, their opinion, and their standing are mocked. The Muslims do not understand that peace comes only with the return of all their rights, and it is not made except when we are high and honored, and it cannot be unless we possess the sufficient deterrent power so that we may respond to the enemy if he violates the peace agreement. In any other case, the peace is not really peace, rather it is submission, and this is what is not accepted in our Sharī’ah.
The Muslims have to understand very well that the word “Jihād” is not a shameful matter for us to be shy of or to hide from. It is not a vile word that must be erased from the school curriculums, or from the media, and from the pages of the newspapers and books, and from the Friday sermons, and from the lessons, and other than this. Not at all, my brothers! Al-Jihād is a very great word. Al-Jihād is the camel hump (the peak) of Islām. Al-Jihād is the highest thing in Islām, whether the enemies of the Ummah - any enemies of the Ummah, whether from outside of it or from its sons - like it or not. The word “Al-Jihād” in its various forms came in the Qur’ān over 30 times. The word “Al-Qitāl,” meaning the Ummah’s fighting against its enemies, this word appears over 90 times in the Book of Allāh ‘Azza Wa Jall. The word “An-Nasr” (victory) appears over 140 times. To where will we run from these words? To where will we run from these Āyāt?
To where will we run from the Statement of Allāh, Azza Wa Jall,
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِO Prophet! Incite the believers to fight [1]
To where will we run from His Statement,
O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you [2]
When will the harshness appear if all the Muslim countries are occupied, and we are still searching for peace?
To where will we run from from the Statement of Allāh, Ta’ālā
قَاتِلُواْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةًFight against the polytheists collectively, as they fight against you collectively [3]
My brothers and sisters, how can an Ummah who desires to protect itself and to defend its honor and its sanctities leave Jihād and fighting? In what customs, or in what laws, or in what religion, is a nation who is occupied in the East and the West encouraged to not talk about Jihād and fighting and war and preparation? In what law is this present?? My brothers, I believe that this disease, the disease of abandoning Jihād, and abandoning talking about it, and abandoning preparation for it, is from the greatest diseases of the Ummah. And there has never ever been in our history any upliftment except with it, with Jihād in the Path of Allāh. And there is a lesson for us in history.
The fifth disease : also a dangerous disease, the neglect of monetary preparation for wars.
We saw how the Tattār worked hard in preparing everything they could for victory, whether it be soldiers or weapons or the preparation of roads or the placement of lines of action or giving attention to alliances and the psychological war, or the preparation of alternative plans… It was truly a unique preparation, and review the lesson, “The Preparation for the Invasion of Iraq.” And on the other side, the Muslims were living in another valley. The Islāmic armies were neglected, and their level declined. No ruler cared to modernize his weapons or train his armies. The proper planning was not put in place. There was no meticulous intelligence-gathering. The Muslims were very, very lax in their preparation. Their priorities were set in a humiliating way. While millions were being spent on palaces and marble and gardens and parties, nothing was spent on the countries’ military and educational and economic preparations. While the examples of those who excelled in the educational, military, and management fields lessened in number, there increased the appearance of the male and female singers, and the male and female dancers, and the male and female athletes, and the heedless males and the heedless females. Subhān Allāh. Is this an Ummah that is preparing itself for the emancipation of its lands? Subhān Allāh. An Ummah with such a preparation must be defeated. My brothers, without preparation, the Muslim Ummah will not rise up. Placing our trust in Allāh ‘Azza Wa Jall does not mean that we become lax in taking the necessary steps. And our seeking to prepare does not mean that we become lax in our reliance on our Lord, Subhānahu Wa Ta’ālā. The two must go together. We should expend our utmost effort in the financial preparation of our Ummah, and we should truthfully turn to Allāh ‘Azza Wa Jall and ask Him to grant us victory over our enemies and that He makes it easy for these means to produce their results. So that is a very dangerous disease and it continues to be present, and review the statistics on the educational and economic and military and political state of the Ummah so that you can see the extent of the calamity in which the Ummah is living.
The sixth disease: The Muslims’ need for an example to follow
The upbringing of an exemplary person, as me mentioned many times before, is thousands of times higher than the upbringing of books and sermons. Soldiers feel a huge sense of estrangement and they completely lose enthusiasm if they lose an example to look up to. A thousand sermons inciting to Jihād if the soldiers find that their leader is the first one to hide during calamities. A thousand sermons on bearing difficult circumstances and being satisfied with little and having Zuhd in the Dunyā, and enduring the economic hardships will avail nothing if the people find their leader living luxuriously in palaces, spending millions on his relaxation and his happiness and his luxury and his noisy parties. A thousand sermons on praiseworthy manners will not produce anything within the Ummah if the one who is supposed to be followed doesn’t pray to begin with, and doesn’t fast, and doesn’t adhere to the cleanliness of hand and tongue and heart and conscience. How can a people be attached to its religion and to the Legislation of its Lord, when they rarely here the name “Allāh” spoken by their leader or their professor or their upbringer.
How can the people fix their state while the examples that appear for them are immoral examples, completely far from the path of righteousness?
The commander who is not a living example to his people in Jihād and morals and patience and Zuhd and justice should not expect that his people protect him during hard times or that they would stand with him in the times of calamity.
The seventh disease, a very, very dangerous disease: alliance with the enemies of the Ummah…

The Causes of the Ummah’s Defeat - PART 1

.
We have heard in the last lesson, and in the previous lessons generally, we heard the causes for victory in the days of [Sayf Ad-Dīn] Qutuz, may Allāh have Mercy upon him. And they are the same causes for victory in all the battles of the Muslims. beginning from the days of the Messenger, صلى الله عليه و سلم، and continuing with all of the Muslims’ victories, and until our time today. Indeed, until the Day of Resurrection. And this is because the causes for victory are from the Divine Sunan, and the Divine Sunan do not change and are not exchanged. He, Ta’ālā, Said,
وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلاًAnd you will not find any change in the Sunnah of Allāh [1]
And the one who examines the causes of victory will see clearly that the Islāmic Ummah in the time of its defeat and weakness had greatly abandoned these causes. And it was tried with many dangerous illnesses, which are, simply, the opposite of the causes for victory that we mentioned in the previous lesson. Let’s flip the causes for victory and present the diseases the Ummah is suffering from now, and then [see] how we can free ourselves from these diseases.
The first disease : The absence of clarity about the Islāmic identity.
And the fundamental, sublime Islāmic rule that became clear to us after ‘Ayn Jālūt is that if you give victory to Allāh, Allāh will give victory to you. And the Victory of Allāh comes by implementing His Sharī’ah and rallying around one single Islāmic banner. And the banner must be Islāmic, with complete clarity. Islāmic. Not racial or tribal or nationalistic.
As for distance from the Manhaj of Allāh ‘Azza Wa Jall, and accepting the Eastern and Western substitution, and turning away from the Book of Allāh ‘Azza Wa Jall and the Sunnah of His noble Messenger, صلى الله عليه و سلم, then this is the root of the calamities and the location of the disease. And the Muslims did not change the situation of the Tattār until there appeared the one who called out with the beautiful, deep call, “Wā Islāmāh,” as we clarified before [when talking about] the causes of victory at ‘Ayn Jālūt. No matter how much any commander tries to incite his people with something other than Islām, he will never be successful, and his nation will never be successful.
Allāh, ‘Azza Wa Jall, refused to give us victory except if we bind ourselves to Him on the outside and the inside. Our outside is Muslim and our inside is Muslim. Our politics is Muslim. Or economics is Muslim. Our media is Muslim. Our judiciary is Muslim. Our army is Muslim. Like this, with clarity. Without concealment or dread or fear or apprehension.
My brothers and sisters, there is nothing for us to be ashamed of. Rather, the one who frees himself from the religion is the one who should be ashamed. Subhān Allāh, look at our present reality. Those who speak about the religion must be very careful, and every word is counted against them, and they must say the words with precision so the words do not have other [unintended] meanings. And as for those who speak about corruption and pornography, then as they wish. No restriction or condition. The music videos, and the shameless programs, and the dirty advertisements, without a watcher or a reckoner. How can a nation that lost its identity to this degree be victorious? How can a nation be victorious where the scholar feels ashamed to say the word of Truth, and the evil one does not feel ashamed to openly proclaim his evil and shamelessness? There must be a pause, O muslims. The loss of the Islāmic identity is the first and primary disease that enabled the enemies of the Ummah to overtake our lands.
OK, what is the second disease?
The second disease is: Division between the Muslims, the opposite of unity amongst the Muslims.
As the disputes, my brother, were present between all different Muslim provinces in the days of the Tattār, and as Jalāl Ad-Dīn [ibn Khawarizm-Shah] was causing mischief in the lands of the Muslims, while the armies of the Tattār were a few steps away from them, likewise we see differences and disputes creeping between all almost all the Muslim countries. Think, and you will not find two Islāmic lands neighboring one another except that you will find they are disputing over borders, or are differing about [another] issue. The Muslims have become completely busy with themselves. They left the occupying armies to carouse in the territories of the Islāmic world, and they made their preoccupation throwing words and sermons, and sometimes rocks and weapons, back and forth with their Muslim brothers. Subhān Allāh.
And there is no doubt that disputes between the Muslims is a companion of failure. As our Lord clearly Said in His book:
وَلاَ تَنَازَعُواْ فَتَفْشَلُواْ وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ وَاصْبِرُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَAnd do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart, and be patient. Surely, Allāh is with the patient ones [2]
So this is a one of the dangerous diseases that we definitely see with our eyes, and explains for us the ability of the Americans and others to [overpower] the Muslim lands.
The third disease: Luxury and attachment to the Dunyā:
The Dunyā became very large in the eyes of the Muslims in the days of the Tattār, and likewise in our time. There are whole generations of the Muslims who do not live except for their Dunyā, though this Dunyā is despised and lowly. Every individual lives for himself. Every individual lives to gather wealth, and to beautify and make his living nicer and to enjoy the different types of luxuries and food, drink, transportation, and housing, and to enjoy the different types of singing and the different new forms of music. And so on. The Muslims drowned in their Dunyā. Many of the youth, my brothers, memorize from the shameless songs more than what he memorizes of the Qur’ān. Many of the youth know in detail the lives of the male and female “artists,” the living and the dead of them, and know, with certainty, the life story of every athlete in our country or other countries, and do not know anything about the life stories of the heroes and scholars and commanders of the Muslims. Rather, they do not know anything on the life stories of the companions of the Messenger of Allāh. Rather they might not know anything about the life story of the Messenger of Allāh himself! Subhān Allāh. Is this not a disease that requires treatment?
Luxury, my brothers, is from the clear causes of destruction. Allāh, ‘Azza Wa Jall, says in His Book:
وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُواْ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيراًAnd when We decide to destroy a town (population), We (first) send a definite order (to obey Allāh and be righteous) to those among them who are given the good things of this life. Then, they transgress therein, and thus the word (of torment) is justified against it (them). Then We destroy it with complete destruction. [3]
The extravagance in the Muslim countries today has reached to the level of the regular Muslims, it even reached to the poor. Can you imagine? To the poor. A man might not find his day’s sustenance, but will not be able to give up cigarettes. Subhān Allāh. It may be that he cannot find what will support himself and his children, but he will sit for hours at the cafes and cafeterias and coffee shops, and so on. He might not be able to educate his children, but he is avid and keen on obtaining a video [player] or a satellite dish.
And the ideological extravagance. Subhān Allāh. And what will make you know what is ideological extravagance? Very, very dangerous. It preoccupies the minds of many of those who consider themselves to be cultured with things that do not nourish or avail from hunger at all. Philosophical ideas, secular schools, materialistic notions, statements and insights from people who amount to nothing on the scale of Truth.
Should this be the case for an Ummah that is suffering from a crisis? Should this be the case for an Ummah that is occupied in more than one of its lands? Should this be the case for an Ummah that is backwards in most of the fields of life? The military, political, economic and educational fields, as well as the moral field? This can never be right. But this is the reality that we see with our eyes. Yes, it is a painful reality, but we do not wish to be like ostriches, burying our heads in the sand, and hide these realities from our eyes so that we can live in happiness. This cannot be, this is stupidity and foolishness. We cannot do this. Rather, we should confront these diseases and take a serious pause with our diseases so that we can cure them. And the state of the Muslims will not get better, and their lands will never be freed except through implementing the Sharī’ah of our Lord, and except with our conformity to our Lord’s Sunan of Victory. And this is witnessed in history, and is witnessed in the present.
The fourth disease from the disease of the Islāmic Ummah - and it is a very, very dangerous disease - is the abandonment of Jihād, my brothers…

U.S. to supply Israel with 1,000 new bunker-busting bombs

The Bush administration has concluded a deal where it will supply Israel with 1,000 of it’s latest smart bombs.
The sophisticted bombs are usually used to attack heavily fortified areas undergound. The deal raises concerns the bombs, also known as bunker-busters, are being provided to Israel ahead of a strike against Iran.
The U.S. Department of Defense announced on Friday it would sell the Israel Air Force the new bombs.
Although each bomb weighs 113 kilograms, its penetration capabilities equal those of a one ton bomb.
A Pentagon statement said the U.S. would provide Israel with 1,000 units of Guided Bomb Unit-39 (GBU-39) - a special weapon developed for penetrating fortified facilities located deep underground.
The statemnt also said the U.S. would help upgrade the Israel Defense Forces’ patriot anti-aircraft missiles, which Israel uses as part of its missile-interception array. Israel will also receive 28,000 LAW (Light Anti-Tank Weapon) tube launchers for land forces.

They are the body established by the rulers containing the top scholars of the country, made and sponsored by him, to justify the following:
1. His authority over the country and its people, even though he legislates against what Allah has revealed, which is a clear kufr, under the Islamic Sharia. This nullifies his position as a leader of Muslims.
2. Cloaking him with qualities and titles, which deceive the Muslims and hinder them from fulfilling their obligations to Allah to keep the Sharia intact.
3. Calling those who challenge his authority after he commits such crimes as khawaarij and disobedient to the amir of the Muslims, i.e. him.
4. Then they approve the killing and torture of those righteous Muslims who demand adherence to Allah’s Law, whom they deceitfully defined as Khawaarij.
5. Although they might match Islamic Law most of the time, in the particulars, their main function is to screen the leader from being harmed, challenged or ultimately removed. (Allahs Governance on Earth)
Few Statements from Past ‘Ulama
Imaam Muhammad al Qurtubi:“The ‘Ulama have said, ‘One who is an Imaam for an oppressive ruler, prayer is not to be made behind him unless he reveals his excuse or reason why (he is an imaam for the oppressive ruler) or he repents from it.” (Jaami’ ul Ahkaam ul Fiqhiyyah Vol 2)
Imaam Ibn Taymiyyahs Verdict on Such Individuals:“Whenever the ‘aalim follows the judgment of the ruler, and leaves off his knowledge, in contradiction to the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Messenger, he is a kaafir (an unbeliever) and a murtadd (an apostate), who deserves to be punished in this life and the Hereafter. This rule can also be applied with regard to the group of scholars who jumped and joined the Mongols due to fear of them and that they wanted to take benefit from them. These scholars made the excuse that some of the Mongols were speaking the Shahaada (testimony of faith) and that they were Muslims.” (Majmu’a Fataawa Vol. 35)
COMMENT: Replace the Mongols and the scholars of the past with our current regimes and scholars that rule over Muslim lands (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Algeria etc.)

“So those fools cry about the deaths of Americans, and they don’t cry about the deaths of our sons?”

The Imaam of the Mujaahideen, the Shaykh of the Lions of War, the symbol of Jihaadee Resistance against the Global Crusade, ‘Abi ‘Abdillaah Usaamah bin Laadin, said:

I say: Concerning this ordeal and this battle between Islam and Crusaders, I want to reiterate that we will continue - with the permission of Allah - this Jihaad and the incitement of the nation for it, until we get it while blessing us, and the war, like we have been promised, that is going on between us and the Jews. So any nation that joins the Jewish trenches has only itself to blame, and as Shaykh Sulayman Abu Ghayth has declared in some his previous statements, concerning America and Britain, so that should not be etched, but indeed he gave some of other nations a chance to review its calculations. What is Japan’s concern? What is making Japan join this hard, strong and ferocious war? It is a blatant violation of our children in Palestine, and Japan didn’t predict it will be at war with us, so it should review where it stands. What is the concern of Australia in the farthest south with the case of those weak Afghans? And those weak in Palestine? What is Germany’s concern with this war? Besides disbelief and crusade, it is a war which is repeating (bringing back) the Crusades, similarly to the previous wars. Richard the Lion Heart, and Barbarossa from Germany, and Louis from France… similarly is the case today, when they all immediately went forward the day Bush lifted the cross. The Crusader nations went forward. What is the concern of the Arab nations in this Crusaders’ War? They entered it openly, without disguise, in broad daylight. They have accepted to be ruled by the cross. Everyone that supports Bush with one word, even without offering facilitation’s and aid, and whatever is so-called facilitation’s, is only a great treachery. They change its names by not calling it military aid. They join them in killing our sons, and they tell us that it is not facilitation and help?? How can we believe that this system (i.e. the Arab governments) is collecting aid to help the weak Afghans, while being the main reason in openly giving the Haramain to the Americans and their allies? How do we believe them while they are one of main reasons for the death of more than 1 million children?

I say to those people who walk behind those rulers, don’t they have hearts? Don’t they have Imaan? How can they declare Imaan while they are helping those fornicating disbelievers against the children of Islam? They help them against our children in Iraq and Palestine. I say to the ones who talk about the innocents in America, they haven’t tasted yet the heat of the loss of children, and they haven’t tasted the look on the faces of their children in Palestine and others. With what right do our families in Palestine get denied safety? The helicopters hunt them while they are in their homes, while they are amongst their women and children; they remove the bodies and wounded everyday. So those fools cry about the deaths of Americans, and they don’t cry about the deaths of our sons? Don’t they fear of receiving a similar punishment? And our Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said in truth: “He who does not join the warlike expedition (jihaad), or equip, or looks well after a warrior’s family when he is away, will be smitten by Allah with a sudden calamity.” [1] So let them fear Allah, and repent, and let them remove the siege from those innocent children. So the Westerners are free, Europe wants to enter the war, that is their prerogative, but our duty is to fight whomever is in the trench of the Jews. America and the American people are free, they have entered the trench, and they will get what is coming to them.

And concerning us, we are in worship and in Jihaad, it is said in truth about our Prophet (sallallahu `alayhi wasallam): “Verily a man’s standing firm in the ranks for one hour (in jihaad) in the Way of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is more virtuous than 60 years of worship.” [2] So what matter is better than that? Under the pride of Allah (subhannahu wa ta’aala), we ask the Almighty to accept from us and from you, and concerning the Muslims, I tell them to trust in the victory of Allah (subhannahu wa ta’aala), and to answer the call of Allah (subhannahu wa ta’aala), and the order of His Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam), with Jihaad against world disbelief. And I swear by Allah, happy are the ones who are martyred today, happy are the ones who are honored to stand under the banner of Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam), under the banner of Islam, to fight the world Crusade.

Imaam Anwar:: Book Review 7: Nail al Awtaar by al Shawkaani July 21, 2008

Imaam Anwar al-’Awlaki, hafidhullah, wrote on his blog:

This eight volume set falls under what is classified as the fiqh of hadith. There are books that concentrate on the fiqh derived from Quran, such as the books of Tafsir by al Qurtubi and AbuBakr bin al Arabi, and you have books of fiqh that are concerned with a particular madhab, and then you have books of comparative fiqh, and then there is the category that this collection falls into, and that is the fiqh of hadith. This collection of hadith was done by Majdudeen Ibn Taymiyyah, the grandfather of the famous ibn Taymyyiah, and al Shawkani wrote Nail al Awtaar as a commentary on these hadith.

Imam al Shawkani was born in year 1173 in Shawkaan, Yemen. He initially studied the Zaidi madhab, which is the closest of the Shia sects to the Sunnah. But, before the age of thirty, he left the madhab and became a mujtahid (jurist). He refuted the Zaidi scholars of his time and became a follower of the Sunnah.

In addition to being the carrier of the banner of Sunnah in Yemen, and offering the strongest critique of the Zaydi school of thought, his knowledge was so impressive that, at the age of thirty, he was also chosen to serve as the Supreme Judge for Yemen for the Zaidi Imam of his time: al Mansoor. He carried on in that post for three of the Zaidi Imams of Yemen for over 40 years. In addition to serving as the Supreme Judge and teaching students, he wrote 278 books and letters!

Al Shawkaani in Nail al Awtaar starts by studying the chain of narration of the hadith, and after that, all the books of hadith that narrated it. He then derives his conclusion regarding the classification of the authenticity of the hadith. He then explains the linguistic meanings of the hadith. After that he goes into mentioning not only the opinions of the four schools, but the opinions of the Sahaba, Tabi’een, and all other notable scholars (such as al Awza’ee, Sufyan al Thawri, al Tabari, Ibn Hazm, etc.). He then discusses the different views and frequently brought usool al Fiqh and Fiqh rules into his discussion.

Nail al Awtaar is an excellent resource for reference on both the evidence of every opinion, and the views of the different scholars on different aspects of fiqh. It is also a good study for students of knowledge to learn the tools of scholarship and how an opinion is derived in Islamic fiqh.

Michael Scheuer: Saudi Salafism a Stronger Force in Islamist Militancy than Recanting Clerics July 21, 2008

Posted by revolution in : Deviants, Jazīratul 'Arab, Jihād , trackback

This is quite an interesting and well-balanced article written by the former CIA agent Michael Scheuer. The battle for the true meaning of “following the path of the Salaf” is a decisive battle between those who implement the path and those who are satisfied with sitting back from it. The Saudi Salafi’s wrongly call the followers of Shaykh Usaamah as “deviants” since him and his followers follow the Salaf and get their interpretations from the Salaf (and not from the deviants in our history). The fact of the matter is that the Saudi Salafi’s are misguided due to their twisting of the religious texts (such as no Jihaad without an Imaam, Eternal ‘Ahd with Muhaaribeen is permissible, etc.). And the thing is, it goes even deeper than twisting the religious texts. When the Soviets attacked Afghanistan, the family of al-Saud permitted the Muslims of Saudi Arabia to fight in Afghanistan; and the Scholars were supportive and very open about the Jihaad. But when it comes to Jihaad against America in ‘Iraaq and Afghanistan - Saudi Arabia’s biggest [islamically illegitimate] ally - then Jihaad becomes a sin and is frowned upon; mind you, this has nothing to do with the “permission of the Imaam” issue since everyone knows that the King of Saudi is not a Khaleefah. Thus, the issue of the Imaam doesn’t even come into play because we don’t even have an Imaam to begin with. This is the clear and obvious double-standard to which Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi famously coined it as, “Jihaad for the sake of America.” It is an attempt to maintain the rule of al-Saud and its legitimacy in the Islaamic world and this is what the real Salafi’s plan on toppling.

Saudi Salafism a Stronger Force in Islamist Militancy than Recanting Clerics

By Michael Scheuer

In the past month, the media have reported an attack on India’s embassy in Kabul, killing 41; an attack on the Red Mosque in Islamabad, killing 10; an attack on the U.S. consulate in Istanbul, killing six; a raid by the Taliban and its allies on a U.S. firebase in Afghanistan’s Konar Province that killed nine American soldiers and a July 15 suicide bombing in Iraq that killed 28 Iraqi military recruits. While these events seem grim, fear not. The Western media continue to argue that victory is close over al-Qaeda and its allies. “Cheer up. We’re Winning this War on Terrorism,” says the London Times; “Turning Their Backs on Terror,” claims Der Spiegel; “Al-Qaeda’s Vietnam,” trumpets the New York Post (The Times, June 27; Der Spiegel, July 14; New York Post, June 17). How does one reconcile the former events with the latter analysis? And how pertinent is either to assessing the strength of Islamist extremism?

The war-against-Islamists-is-won media boom began in April, with articles by Western journalists claiming al-Qaeda is being destroyed by the recantations of former Islamist theoreticians (New Republic, June 11; New Yorker, May 26). The recantations, it was argued, are turning Muslims from al-Qaeda and its allies and persuading them to accept U.S. foreign policy in the Muslim world and life under repressive police-state regimes. That the recanters’ words drew attention from Islamists is clear, but the argument that the recantations—delivered from Egypt’s prisons and the Saudi police state—spelled doom for Islamism seems overdrawn. A prominent Salafist cleric, Shaykh Husayn Bin Mahmud, put the point nicely. The recanting “is just acting forced by the prison guards,” Bin-Mahmud wrote. “Tell [the recanter] that we would listen to him when he tells us to retract when he is standing between Usama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan, enjoying his freedom and safety and the safety of his family. How can we listen to him when we know he is in Husni [Mubarak’s] prison and knowing how Muslim prisoners in particular are treated?” (alhanein.com, November 25, 2007). Ayman al-Zawahiri put it more logically, asking: “Why is the jihad against the Russians in Afghanistan an individual obligation, whereas in Iraq today, it is one of the cardinal sins?” (Al-Sahab Media Production Organization, December 16, 2007).

The recantations making a splash in the Western media are part of a bigger project conducted by several Arab states—led by Saudi Arabia—to make the United States and its allies believe Islamism’s strength is ebbing. Their campaign is made easier, of course, because the West desperately wants to believe such claims. The Arab regimes, in fact, built a cottage industry of recanting; earlier in this decade, Riyadh ran television shows featuring recanting jihadi clerics that earned the mocking name of “the series of repentance” (alhanein.com, November 25, 2007). Today, the Libyan regime is about to join the recanting caravan. Saudi-controlled media in Europe, for example, are publishing teasers about the coming renunciation of “armed violence” by the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group—long an al-Qaeda ally. Its now slickly groomed spokesman, Nu’man bin Uthman, says the group’s imprisoned leaders will soon publicly oppose violence (Al-Sharq al-Awsat, July 7).

Beyond recanting clerics, the Saudis, the Egyptians, and the Yemenis have trumpeted “re-education programs” they are running to “rehabilitate” captured Islamist fighters, while incarcerated, right-thinking, regime-paid clerics tell the former mujahideen that “religious deviants” led them astray and are taught regime-approved interpretations of Islam. They are also prepared to reenter society with classes in trades, art and music. This program of what the West might call “tough love” is being hailed by Riyadh, Cairo, and Sana as a success, these claims meshing with the West’s faith in reforming flawed human beings by therapy [1]. There are suspicions that re-educated graduates are released on condition they go to Iraq or Afghanistan to fight infidels, which was the method the Saudi and other Arab regimes used to unload firebrands during anti-Soviet jihad.

Finally, Riyadh has gone the extra mile to apply soothing eyewash to Western eyes by having its clerical hirelings claim—Quranically speaking—that black is white, as well as by engaging in a startling ecumenicalism: “Aggressions against Muslims and occupation of [their] land,” the kingdom’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al al-Sheikh, said in July, “cannot be a justification for explosions…” Later in his statement, the Grand Mufti let slip the main point of his message, which was to protect the al-Saud family, not the West. “Obeying the Muslim ruler without sedition,” al-Sheikh said, “is a basic principle of Muslims who follow the path of the Prophet” (Reuters, July 3).

Later, Riyadh had the senior religious bureaucrat Shaykh Saleh al-Laheedan, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Supreme Judiciary Council, attack bin Laden: “Osama is a preacher of evil,” said Shaykh al-Laheedan. “If a man performs prayers in [the] night and then disobeys the rulers of his country, how can he be a good man? No doubt, such people are sinners.” Again, this cleric’s main message was that the Sauds must be obeyed (Gulf News, July 10). The Saudis also are calling for more cooperation among world religions and are mulling the opening of a Christian church in the kingdom. This month it even sent King Abdullah—who met Pope Benedict XVI last year—to open an interfaith conference in Madrid that was organized by the Saudis’ Muslim World League (AFP, July 14).

Just as reality is juxtaposed with over-optimism above—Islamist attacks contrasted with claims al-Qaeda and its allies are losing—the Saudi-led Arab campaign to make the West see a mirage of a fading-Islamist threat is marred by reality. In Egypt, for example, President Mubarak’s security forces continue to harass and arrest members of the Muslim Brotherhood. In Yemen, President Salih is confronting attacks from both al-Qaeda-in-Yemen and hostile Shia tribes, and it is clear the Islamist tide in Saudi Arabia is not receding. So far in 2008, Saudi security services have arrested more than 700 Islamists suspected of planning attacks on oil, security, and industrial facilities and Riyadh is forming a 30,000-man force to protect these targets. In addition, Saudi officials admit they have neither won the ideological battle with “religious deviants” nor stopped terrorist fundraising; they also say Islamist cells exist across most of the country. Adding to internal frictions are simmering animosities between Sunnis and Shias, after leading Sunni scholars in June ascribed “infidel principles” to Shia doctrine (Saudi Gazette, June 27; Al-Sharq al-Awsat, June 18; Reuters, July 2).

Again, how can the foregoing contradictions be reconciled, and an assessment made about the strength and future viability of the Islamist threat? Perhaps the best way to get a handle on this issue is to understand that much of the above—the attacks, the recanters, the re-education camps, Riyadh’s ecumenical outreach—is a diversion from the key variable in the future vitality of Islamist militancy: The doctrine of Salafism and its continuing proliferation. Bin Laden and his allies are overwhelmingly Salafist; men and women who profess an austere, semi-martial brand of Sunni Islam based on the Quran, the Sunnah and the traditions of the “pious ancestors,” the first four generations of Islamic leaders. Salafism is Saudi Arabia’s state religion; it is taught at all levels of its school system to Saudis and others who come from abroad to study or are the children of immigrant Muslim workers and it is the faith Riyadh exports to all areas of the world via a large, well funded proselytizing program staffed by Salafi clerics educated in the kingdom. Salafism is the engine of contemporary jihad; its base is in Saudi Arabia; and no amount of jihadist recanting or damning by the “king’s clerics” will stunt Salafi jihadism as long as the doctrine is taught and continues to grow in popularity:

“In Kuwait, followers of the Salafi current won a majority of parliamentary seats in the 17 May [2008] elections. In Jordan, the Muslim Brotherhood elected a [Salafi] conservative, Hammam Said, to be their general guide. He is the first Jordanian of Palestinian origin to lead the group since it was founded in 1946. In Egypt, [Salafi] conservatives running the Muslim Brotherhood show no intention of allowing a new generation of younger reformers to take over. In Palestine, Hamas’s hawks have been consolidating their position since the movement seized Gaza a year ago, while ‘pragmatists’ are being increasingly sidelined. Wherever you look in the Arab world, Islamist conservatism of the brand known as ‘Salafist’ is gaining ground while moderates seem to be running out of steam. Even regional television stations seem more interested in conservatives than in mainstream or opposition moderates. Also, many social institutions have fallen into the hands of the Salafis.

“Recently, the Salafist trend has widened its appeal to the Arab public. No longer confining themselves to conventional preaching places, such as the mosque and home gatherings, conservatives are using hi-tech methods, including blogging and Facebook. I have met a few young Salafist men who haven’t the slightest interest in updating the content of their beliefs, but nonetheless are computer savvy and networking online all the time. The moment has come for their brand of Salafist discourse, they believe. And they are using the latest technology to connect with thousands of their generation” (Al-Ahram Weekly, July 10-16).

As Salafism spreads, it is vital that the West sees that the Salafism taught in the Muslim world is not an aberrant form of Islam; it is a respected—indeed, honored—set of beliefs and is being taught accurately. A 2004 essay mounted on the Saudi dissident website Al-Hijaz makes this point; the essay merits more attention than it has received. The anonymous author writes that the Salafi mujahideen are a huge problem for the Saudi and other Arab governments because they are the true voice of that version of Islam. While the regimes may be stronger in military terms, the author argues they will ultimately be defeated by the Salafists:

“In our opinion, the Saudi government is losing on the ideological front, although it may win temporarily on the front of confrontation by security means. The reason is that the dominant ideology feeding the current of violence is an indigenous ideology, not an intruder into the kingdom. It is an ideology that the official religious establishment espouses and that it considers a sound standard for the entire world, except when it comes to applying it to the Saudi case and to the al-Saud family. Thus the graduates of the Salafi school, who have embarked on violence have added nothing to this ideology; they simply have applied it. They have been honest in using it and faithful to their belief… It is not correct to maintain that the ideas held by the [Salafi] practitioners of violence are eccentric or [applying a] false doctrine. In fact they are the prevailing view among the Saudi Salafi religious current in the kingdom. If members of the official current use this ideology, it is called sound; if the practitioners of violence use it, it is called eccentric” (Al-Hijaz, August 15, 2004).

The author warns that seeing Salafists as deviants is self-defeating because their violence is “authenticated … on the basis of texts, pronouncements and fatwas by senior scholars. These are clear texts subject to no ambiguity or misreading” (Al-Hijaz, August 15, 2004). The answer to whether al-Qaeda’s ideology can be defeated is not, therefore, to be found in recanting clerics and reeducated militants paraded by the Arab regimes. It will be answered by their willingness to remove Salafism from schools and missionary activities. To date, the evidence is that Salafism has over the last decades—and especially since 9/11—experienced a Saudi-sponsored expansion from the Arab heartland to rest of the Muslim world.

Notes

1. The chief of the Saudi Senior Islamic Scholars Commission, Shaykh Abdullah al-Motlaq, recently briefed the media on the “success of the ongoing counseling program,” and asserted that “Saudi scholars are in the forefront of those carrying out [the] intensive campaign against extremists in the kingdom” (Gulf News, July 10).

The solution to ending prostitution July 13, 2008

Posted by revolution in : Afghānistān, Images, Jihād, News, Tālibān , trackback

The solution to ending prostitution is not jail. Once they are out, they will continue their filthy work. And to jail someone forever is psychological torture.

The solution to ending prostitution is not through rehab centers. Many of them are good at faking their own rehab; or if they do take it sincerely, satan always lures them back to their filth. And if their society promotes adultery, they will be back in their filth in full swing in a short matter of time.

The solution to ending prostitution is through sheer and utter force.

For a person to be a prostitute, the punishment should always be harsh so that others will know the consequences for doing it (thus decreasing the chances of prostitutes).

And for a person to run a prostitution ring, the punishment should always be harsh for the same reason.

Islaam intends to get rid of evil from the root as this is the most effective way to purify the lands.

Alhamdullilaah, recently the Taliban caught two women who were running a prostitution ring that was serving US and foreign troops as well as the Afghan Apostates! So they were committing adultery and supporting the army of satan. The entire ring was shutdown and its leaders were punished in public.

According to Yahoo News:

Two unidentified Afghan Women chat with each other a few minutes before they were executed by Taliban in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, on late Saturday, July 12, 2008. Taliban fighters told Associated Press Television News that the two were executed for allegedly running a prostitution ring catering to U.S. soldiers and other foreign contractors at a U.S. base in Ghazni city.

Of course, the disbelievers want you to think it’s barbaric… but tell me… is it more barbaric to eventually allow the prostitutes their freedom or to stop them cold in their sin which is destroying and eating away at humanity and its basic morals?

AllahuAkbar, may Allah protect the Mujaahideen and allow them to continue establishing the Shari’ah, showing the world the wisdom behind the law of Allah ‘Azza wa Jall.

Obviously, the US Terrorists and her allies will be upset about this; not because justice was established, but because they can’t have sex with their prostitutes no longer.

If one were to take this incident in isolation, then it would appear sad. But if one knows the true reality behind it, then they would respect the action taken upon these criminals.

Appearance versus Reality.

West versus Islaam.

French Tyrants deny woman to wear Niqaab July 13, 2008

Posted by revolution in : News , trackback

According to BBC, a Niqaabi Sister was banned from wearing the Niqaab in France because it is a symbol of “radical Islaam.”

So we say to France: more of our radicals will come to your Country and topple it, establish the Islaamic Law and humiliate the disbelieving Frenchmen.

May Allah’s curse be upon the French Taaghoot.

May Allah punish the French Taaghoot.

May Allah enable the Mujaahideen to give hell to the French Taaghoot.

Responding to a “Salafi” Critic on the Mujaahideen July 13, 2008

Posted by revolution in : Advice, Jihād, Knowledge , trackback

Mashaa’Allaah, the following response was done by a Sister [taken from a forum] to a “Salafi” critic whose tongue is used to make Taqleed of the Saudi Scholars and criticize those who support the Mujahideen. She wrote:

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

I disagree with this statement that you have made and I believe that it is a statement that comes across to me as a teeny bit arrogant(no offense intended) everytime I hear it. Just because you do not agree with the loads of other respected scholars, eg Sh Yusuf al Uyairi, Sh Abdullah Azzam, Sh Al Zawahiri, etc just to name a few off the top of my head, does not mean that they do not fall under the category of respected scholars of today. They have a very large following, myself included of sincere muslims who refuse to sit by idly while Allah’s deen is being raped by so called ‘Muslim leaders’ and the kuffar. Mind you even the most respected of the classical scgolars were of the view that anyone who abandons the Shariah of Allah and adopts another form of legislation is a kaafir. The only reason why the likes of Sh Fawzaan etc are well known amongst the lay muslims is because they are the ones who have been publicised by the governments while all others against the government, have their opinions stifled by banning them from TV programs, public lectures etc. The case of Safar Hawali and Salman al Awdah is a classical example. And see where it has led Salman al Awdah.

Instead I see it as those whom you choose to label as the ‘extremists’, are the ones who are balanced, while you are the one who is extreme. That is extreme in your taqleed of the Ulama who are not infallible. Alhamdulillah you have produced a recording where Sh Fawzan has said that jihad is fard ‘ayn in Iraq, etc. But what do you have to say when the same man says anyone who is found trying to go for jihad in iraq to expel the invading forces should be reported to the authorities because they do not have the permission of the so called ‘wali ul amr’. So according to Sh Fawzan, it is justified to imprison, torture and even rape muslim brothers, simply because they have the urge and gheerah for the Deen of Allah azza wa jal and want to go and defend their brothers and sisters in the deen.

Why can we not be allowed to take some and leave some of what the ‘Kibaar al Ulama’ say? Are they infallible? No they are not. The only infallible One, died over 1400 yrs ago. So now we are suppose to take some of what the Ulama say and leave some. ‘The flesh of the scholars is poison’ we are always told. But what about the flesh of the mujaahideen? Are the mujaahideen not the ones who Rasul (saw) said about them that, even the greatest and most dedicated ‘Ubaad could never get the same reward as a Mujaahid?
Does that not show the high level of the mujaahideen in the eyes of Allah? Shouldn’t it automatically tell us that the mujahideen hold a higher status in the eyes of Allah than even the Scholars? Yet we find it so easy to call them thieves, criminals, murderers etc. Whereas one does not dare to disagree with any of the Kibaar ul Ulama and he is branded a ‘khawarij’. This to me is the extremism and not the other way around.

What I cannot get over in particular, is how anyone can dare compare the situation that existed during the lifetime of the Sahab and the situatuon of today. I think that is a total insult and disrespect to these great Mujaahideed who are the closest people to the Most High. Mind you, THE SAHABA DID NOT FORM ALLAINCES WITH THE ENEMIES OF ALLAH. THE SAHABA DID NOT THROW THE BOOK OF ALLAH BEHIND THEIR BACKS AND CHOOSE TO DENY AL HAAKIMIYYA OF ALLAH. THE SAHABA DID NOT MAKE RIBA HALAL. THE SAHABA DID NOT SQUANDER THE WEALTH OF THE UMMAH ON LAVISH LIFESTYLES AND GAMBLING IN LAS VEGAS WHILE MUSLIM CHILDREN ALL AROUND THE WORLD ARE DYING OF DISEASE, HUNGER, ETC. THE SAHABA DID NOT SIT BACK IN AIR-CONDITIONED PALACES WHILE MILLIONS OF MUSLIMS WERE BEING SLAUGHTERED AND HUMILIATED. AND LASTLY, AS SURE AS I AM THAT I WILL DIE SOME DAY, THAT IS HOW SURE I AM THAT THE SAHABA WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP A WINK IF THEY WERE ALIVE TODAY TO SEE THE STATE OF THE UMMAH, UNTIL THEY HAD MADE ALLAH’S WORD SUPERIOR ONCE AGAIN. So pls brother be careful with the analogies you make because comparing the situation of Muslim rulers today with the Sahaba is a bit low.

Even the Sahaba, where not followed blindly. They are many instances where we would see the ordinary man challenge decisions made on behalf of the muslims by the Khulafa’. And these great men were not too arrogant to accept correction or even take criticism. Why can we not also support the mujaahideen in their struggle and chastise them and call them to order when they err? Why must we totally denounce them or risk being labelled khawarij? Why is there no middle ground when it comes to the mujaahideen.

All I want my brothers and sisters to remember is that firstly our Beloved(saw) told us that he feared for us something that was worse than the Dajjal’s fitnah; and that is ‘THE WICKED SCHOLAR’. Secondly on Yawmul Qiyaamah, Allah will not only throw the wicked scholar in the hell fire, but also their followers. Why? Becaues Allah’s deen is as clear as night is from day. And it doesn’t take a well versed scholar to recognise the gross betrayal of Allah’s deen by the so-called Kibar ul Ulama. And whether we like to believe it or not, a large number of muslims have finally woken up to the reality of the situation, and that is why more and more muslims all over the world have lost respect for a lot of these scholars, because Allah gave them this Ummah to lead and protect as an amaana and they have failed miserably.

Wa billahi tawfique. May Allah guide me first and foremost and the whole Ummah of Muhammad (saw). And may He continue to give the Mujaahideen the strength and courage to fight and destroy the ‘awliyah of shaytaan without fearing the blame of any blamer.

US Terrorists incur heavy losses in Afghanistan July 13, 2008

According to the News,

The disbelieving army has confirmed that at least nine of its terrorists - and usually, it’s always more than what they “confirm” - have been killed in Afghanistan in clashes with the Mujahideen.

In addition to the dead US Terrorists, NATO confirmed that nine of its International terrorists were killed, but it didn’t release the troops’ nationalities. Fifteen other ISAF troops and four Afghan Apostates were wounded, NATO said. Usually, there is more.

US commander Daniel Dwyer said the soldiers had been killed in clashes in the north-east of the country.

It is a heavy loss on the side of the army of Satan as many reporters have confirmed, such as the BBC’s Martin Patience.

The attack came as foreign disbelievers and Afghan Apostates battled the Muslims on several fronts.

Nato also reported the death of Hungarian soldiers in the northern province of Baghlan in a roadside bomb attack.

The Mujahideen prove once again that with Allah’s help, they can bring major devastation to their enemies with light weapons even though the enemies have a much greater artillery and advanced technology up their sleeves.

Say No to the Oppressor

“Say No to the Oppressor”

Penned by: Shaykh ‘Umar Abdur-Rahmān

May Allāh free him and cure his ailments

At-Tibyān Publications

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

“The leader of the martyrs, Hamzah Bin Abdil-Muttalib, a man who stood up to an unjust leader, so he commanded him [with good] and forbade him [from evil], and he killed him.”

O defiant Muslims of Egypt. I feel the approach of the appointed time, and the proximity of the meeting with Allāh, and I must leave behind a will.

So here it is for you, O most beloved of the people to my heart…

Here it is for you, O my family, relatives, and kindred…

Here it is for you, from the depths of my heart, purely and sincerely for the Face of my Lord…

Here it is for you, mixed with my tears; it wishes that my blood would engrave it…

Say no to oppression.

Say it, O scholars of Egypt – No.

No… to the absence of our Sharī’ah for 70 years.

No… to all who allege that the Sharī’ah is enforced in Egypt!

Where is the Sharī’ah in the secular constitutions?! Where is the Sharī’ah in the usury-filled economics?! Where is the Sharī’ah in the disengaged media?! Where is the Sharī’ah in peace and in war and in education and in the administration of justice?!

If you find that the Sharī’ah has no share or allotment in all of these, then you are not our rulers, and upon us there is no listening or obedience to you.

Say it, O honorable administrators of Egypt… No.

No… to one dictatorship, and one party, and one opinion.

No… to the lowly subordination of international law; indeed the time is ripe for the Divine Sharī’ah.

No… to twelve years of the emergency and terrorist laws.

No… to invalid military courts and unjust, arbitrary detentions.

No… to the violation of the rights of the Muslims that are witnessed by every involved institution at every moment.

Say it, O judges of Egypt… No.

No… We will not be judges that lead to the Hellfire, but rather judges that lead to Paradise, by the Permission of Allāh.

No… We will not rule upon the best of Egypt’s youth except with the Justice that was revealed by Allāh:

وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ

…and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice [1]

وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّه

So judge between them by what Allāh has revealed [2]

Those that oppress these youth are not of us… those that rule for their hangings are not from us… those that please their rulers by displeasing their Master and Protector are not from us.

Say it, O best soldiers of the Earth [3]… No.

No… We will not fight except in the Path of Allāh…

ُ

الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allāh [4]

No… we will not fight for the sake of America and its helpers…

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ

…and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Tāghūt [5]

No… and we have had enough of the destruction of Iraq.

No… and we have had enough of our forsaking the Muslims of Bosnia…

No… we will not be subservient to America, which claims that Iran and Sudan cultivate terrorism!

No… we will not be an instrument for the enemy [Yitzhak] Rabin, who blatantly lies that the real danger is coming from the fundamentalists. So what, then, about the tyrannical Jews?! And what, then, about the criminal Serbs?! Are they the doves of peace? Or the messengers of love?

Say it, O defiant people of Egypt… No.

No, we are not the silent majority. Rather the seething [majority], by the Permission of Allāh. The seething [majority] in Idkū and Abī Hammād and Qalyūb. The seething [majority] in Cairo and Asyūt and Aswān. So do not pretend to cry, O you rulers, at our poverty and our hunger, and let your financial liabilities be manifest… And say [O defiant people of Egypt], ‘If you are indeed honorable and are indeed people of beneficence – from where did you get millions of dollars?’

And say [O defiant people of Egypt], ‘We are not party to the killing of the Muwahhiddīn – but how many times have we seen you with our eyes while you kill those unarmed ones praying, while they are in the heart of the Houses of Allāh!’

We are not of those who follow the funeral of the murdering transgressors, rather we follow the funerals of the youth who are in a state of ablution, those whose last deeds were prayer and fasting, and whose last words were “Lā Ilāha Ilā Allāh.”

No… we will not be absent after today, for the silence like that found within the graves has passed.

Say it O Mujāhidīn of Egypt… No.

And do not become feeble due to what befalls you in the Path of Allāh, and do not become weak and do not surrender.

… if you are suffering (hardships) then surely, they (too) are suffering (hardships) as you are suffering, but you have a hope from Allāh (for Paradise) that for which they hope not [6]

Retaliate with the like of that which you were made to suffer, and if you are made to suffer after that, then know that Allāh is indeed your Helper.

ذَلِكَ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِ ثُمَّ بُغِيَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنْصُرَنَّهُ اللَّه
ُ

That is so. And whoever has retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer, and then has again been wronged, Allāh will surely help him [7]

Shake the platforms of the judiciary, reciting:

فَاقْضِ مَا أَنْتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

So decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only decree (regarding) this life of the world.[8]

Smash the executioners in the domains of torture, repeating, “Verily Allāh tortures those who torture the people in the Dunyā.”[9]

Regard the Pharaonic threats as something good, for they are – By Allāh – the last signs of despair and the first drops of rain… Remain steadfast in the face of the savage courts, for indeed the blood of the martyrs is what engraves the letters of Victory for the nations.

And here, I say it with you… No.

No to you, O Mubarak, and your regime and your gallows and your iron and your fire… your oppressive state will not last for an hour, and indeed perpetuity is for the Islamic state until the Day of Resurrection.

So plot against me, O enemies, or do not plot; conspire against me or do not conspire, for indeed if I am banished, then Hijrah is the path of the beloved Prophet. And if I am imprisoned, then indeed the noble Yusuf was cast into prison. And if I am slaughtered, then the leader, Yahyā, preceded me to the slaughter.

This is my creed and my message, and if I betray, then what an evil transaction. And indeed I have chosen – by the Praise of Allah – to fulfill the covenant a long time ago, so choose what you seek for yourselves from now, for this is the time to make a choice.

And by Allāh, O Egypt…

Indeed I longed that my blood would run, gushing forth for the sake of Allāh on your soil, and that your purest sons would pray upon me, and that your best men would carry me to the grave… for then I would march with tranquility to a Generous Lord, and you, O Mujāhidūn, would march to proceed upon the purest path.

So fear Allāh as He should be feared, and fight for Allāh as He should be fought for, and we will certainly meet, by the Permission of Allāh… we will meet at the doorstep of the Islāmic state, and together we will knock at the doors of Dār Al-Islām.

And may Allāh accept from us and from you.

Was-Salāmu ‘Alaykum Wa Rahmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh

And I ask of you your supplications.

Your brother,

‘Umar Abdur-Rahmān

Look at how these arrogant Americans stuff themselves when the ‘Iraqi’s have hardly anything to eat July 8, 2008

Posted by revolution in : 'Irāq, Images, Jihād , trackback

This is a major, major difference between the American’s and the Mujaahideen. The American’s will invade our lands for the flimsy excuse of “liberating” in the name of their Democracy, and they will stuff themselves with the finest foods whilst the people in the Country that they are liberating have hardly anything to eat.

Mullah ‘Umar, the Ameer of the Muslims in Afghanistan - may Allah protect him - once invited some guests over to eat in some locality within Afghanistan. When the guests were given their food - simple, warm and good tasting food - they saw that Mullah ‘Umar had an empty plate. So they kept watching as to what he might eat and finally he was brought hard bread with cold soup. So they were shocked. “This is how the leader of Afghanistan eats!!” So he looked at them and said, “Once every single person in Afghanistan is able to eat what you are eating [at a normal rate], that is when I will touch that food. Otherwise, how can I eat such good food when my people are starving?”

Subhanaa’Allaah!

And look at these filthy American pigs!!! They are not even ashamed of themselves. In fact, most of them just want to go home because they don’t have any passion to fight. They could careless! They only came for the money and to have a good resume! They are just losers in this world and the next. A broken army that lives off of artificial beliefs.

May Allah protect the Mujaahideen and give them victory over these arrogant filthy disbelievers!

A Message From A Soldier To His Commander

Praise be to Allāh (تعالى), whose Help glorifies Islam, whose Irresistibility humiliates Shirk (rejection of oneness), whose Command manages all affairs, whose Planning draws the Kāfirs (unbelievers) in little by little, whose Justice causes days of blessings and days of suffering to alternate, and whose Grace makes final victory belong to the pious. And peace and prayer be on the one that with his sword, Allāh (تعالى) elevated the status of Islam.

The constant struggle between righteousness and falsehood since the beginning of creation till the Day of Judgment has been the practice of Allāh (تعالى). Past history has shown us various forms of this struggle.

From A Soldier Standing On The Line Of Fire

From Abū Mus’ab Al-Zarqāwī to his commander, the one who is blessed with high status by the Grace of Allāh (تعالى), Abū Abdullāh Osamā Bin Lāden, may Allāh (تعالى) comfort his eyes and shower him with blessings.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatu Allāh (تعالى)i Wabarakatuh (Peace, God’s mercy and blessings be upon you).

Praise be to Allāh (تعالى), there is no god but Allāh (تعالى).

If you miss me a little..

My heart is burning with desire to see you

May Allāh (تعالى) gather us together

And the day of reunion becomes near.

O our beloved Sheikh! Allāh (تعالى) knows that it is not our choice to be away from you; if birds could fly us, we would have been at your door. I ask Allāh (تعالى) to grant us a reunion and bless us with the sweetness of seeing you again.

Our beloved Amīr! We are certain that you are anxious to know what is going on at our end and whether or not we are fine. We know you must be following the practice of our righteous ancestors. Whenever Omar Ebn Al-Khattab sent an army to establish La Ilaha Illa Allāh (تعالى) anywhere, he used to go to the perimeters of Medinah and beyond to get the news about his soldiers; he never waited until messengers made it to his house. He was always anxious for news about his soldiers just as a pregnant woman about her soon to be born infant.

I want to assure you that we are keeping our covenant with Allāh (تعالى), our Jihād on the path of Allāh (تعالى) will continue and we will sacrifice everything we have, including our lives, in order for the religion of Allāh (تعالى) to become the law of the land. We have made up our minds, we have chosen our option, we have raised the banner of Amīr, we have sharpened our swords, and we have decided to ride our spears to glory and honor.

There is no doubt that you have heard what the news media around the world have been circulating lately. They claimed that I have been seriously wounded and I have been receiving treatment at Ramādī hospital. You and all Muslims all over the globe will be pleased to know that all of the news media allegations were false, I was only slightly wounded as correctly reported by our media department. By the Grace of Allāh (تعالى), I am well and I am moving around freely among my brothers in the land of the Two Rivers, and together, we battle the enemies of Allāh (تعالى).

Our beloved Amīr! As I am writing to you, your soldiers are making history on the battle fields. Their level of courage, sacrifice, fighting skills, and determination to protect our religion and chastity of our Muslim women, is unprecedented. I am pleased to inform you that your soldiers in the city of Qāim have rubbed the noses of the US Marines in the mud, and proved that the so called “unbeatable US war machine” is nothing but a myth. The Muslim cavaliers, the graduate youths of the school of Muhammad (the prophet), both the Muhājirūn (Mujāhidīn from outside of Iraq) and Ansār (Mujāhidīn from inside of Irāq) have fought like lions and have beaten all the crusader’s plans. All the crusader’s goals have crumbled at the hands of your soldiers at the walls of Qāim. After ten days of intense fighting, Allāh (تعالى) has blessed your soldiers with victory over the cross worshippers. The cross worshippers had no choice but to retreat and withdraw in total disgrace to avoid a total wipe out of their men and equipment. The battle of Qāim will go down as one of the greatest battles in Islamic history.

Allāh (تعالى) has disgrace them, especially after their leader, General Drink Wine, arrogantly made his famous statement: “We will defeat them (Mujāhidīn) even if Muhammad and the God of Muhammad were with them”. He further intended to drank wine with his soldiers to celebrate their victory. This brought us memories from the past. Abū Jahel, an enemy of Allāh (تعالى), has made a similar statement at the time when the messenger of Allāh (تعالى), Muhammad, along with a small number of ill equipped and malnourished believers, stood up to defend their religion against the powerful and well equipped Quraish. Abū Jahel said: “We will not stop fighting Muhammad until we defeat him and reach the well of Bader. We will then drink wine, listen to music and female singers, until all Arab communities and tribes hear about our decisive victory which will make them fear us for the rest of their lives.” However, when Abū Jahel and his soldiers made it to Bader, they were defeated by the outnumbered and under equipped Muslims. Abū Jahel himself was killed in the battle and his body was thrown in an abandoned well.

O our Sheikh! Allāh (تعالى) knows that we were very optimistic when this cursed General challenged Allāh (تعالى) with his statement. We were certain that Allāh (تعالى) will fulfill his promise to us. This has been the practice of Allāh (تعالى) towards anyone who slanders this religion and shows disrespect for Allāh (تعالى). Sheikh Al-Islam, Ibn Taimiah رحمه الله said: Muslims have cited time and time again, situations in which they were surrounding their enemies fortified fortresses, trying to penetrate them with no success for a month or longer, but as soon as the enemies of Allāh (تعالى) start slandering the religion (Islam) or cursing Allāh (تعالى), victory was given to Muslims by Allāh (تعالى) within a day or two. Our Sheikh! Allāh (تعالى) has guided a shot from a son of yours to hit the helicopter from which, General Drink Wine was guiding the battle from the sky, fearing the Mujāhidīn fire on the ground. The aircraft went down in flames, and the General has tasted the burning with fire in this life before he will face a forever lasting fire in the hereafter.

By the Grace of Allāh (تعالى), we have cut their heads off, we have torn their bodies to pieces, we have spilled their blood, and they will leave the land of Muslims in total defeat and disgrace. The author of the book “The civil war” has appropriately described America as follows: America was created in blood, sucked blood, spilled blood, became a giant with blood, and will drown in blood. The dog of Rome, Bush, may have been pleased with the capture of our brother Abū Faraj Al-Libbi, but he is sure to be very disturbed and displeased with what happened to his soldiers in Qāim and other cities of Iraq.

Our beloved Amīr! By the Grace of Allāh (تعالى), the enemy is on the prescribed road and is doing exactly what the plan is expecting him to do. We are about to strangle the enemy from all directions, by the Grace of Allāh (تعالى). If the rest of the plan goes as expected, the results will be visible for everyone to see. The results will please every Muslim and will displease and anger every Kafir and every Hypocrite. I believe that our plan for the next stage has either reached you or on its way to you as I speak.

Today, the enemy is seeing its worse time in the land of the Two Rivers. If it was not for the services provided by Shia, the grandchildren of Ibn Al-Alqamī, headed by the Imam of Kufr and perversion, Al-Sistanī, the state of affairs of Bani Al-Asfar ( reference to the fair complexion race, i.e., Roman descent) would have been totally different. This was what Thomas Friedman of News Week alluded to when he said “It is fair to say that Sistanī has helped Bush in many ways as did Mandela and Gorbashov helped the elder Bush. Mandela’s leadership allowed for the peaceful transfer of power to the Black majority. Gorbashov’s policies helped the nonviolent breaking of the Soviet Union and allowed for a soft landing.” It is preferable to be lucky instead of being good. To be lucky means you have people like Mandela, or Sistanī on your side, in times of crises. Such partners will be working with you to reach a historic agreement at a cross road.

Friedman further said “The most important role that Sistanī played was to give the Arab political process a religious cover. Spreading democracy over the region will not be easy, but the prospect of success increases every day when you have partners from within who can legalize your action plan, and that is what Sistanī has. We have been very lucky to have this 75 year old man on our side.” I could never understand how Sistanī, who lives in a small house in a narrow alley, in the city of Najaf, emerges as wise and influential as he is. But all I hope for is to have this man lives until he is 120 years of age and I hope he wins Nobel prize.

So the slaves of the cross worshippers (Shia, Kurds) saw what is happening to their master and they decided to save him. General Richard Meyers contended that the war on Iraq has caused the US military to be overstretched and exhausted, and any new war will take longer time to prepare and execute and will require additional supplies and manpower. A high ranking military officer in the Green Zone has told a foreign correspondent “that those remnant criminals (Mujāhidīn) have destroyed the credibility and reputation of the American military machine that no other army in the world would dare to challenge, thank God that we are able to use our money to recruit non-American mercenaries to fight our battle in Iraq. But what I am afraid of is the day when we can no longer use our millions of dollars to get fresh recruits.”

Then comes the enemy of Allāh (تعالى), the American-Zionist, Jalāl Talibanī to claim that Amīr in Iraq has been weakened and has become isolated. He is the one who made the famous statement “Muhammad came to us with Qura’an on the back of Camels, but nowadays, we have no camels, therefore, we will send all copies of Qura’an back to Mecca by way of Donkeys and Mules. I challenge this perverted liar, if he were to be a man, to come out of his hiding hole and take a stroll in Baghdad in order for every one, near and far, to know who is weak and who has the upper hand.

Our Glorious Amīr! I sacrifice my father and my mother for your well being and security.

I could not think of something to bring this message to a closure better than this story cited by Moslem: Utbah Ibn Ghazwan, delivered a sermon, in which he said:

“O people, this Dunya (life on earth) is about to end, there is little time left, after which you will be transferred to another world, a world of eternity. So let us see what have we prepared for the new life. It is said that if a stone is let to fall anywhere in the Hell fire, the stone will fall for more than seventy years without even reaching the bottom. It is also said that it takes forty years to travel the distance between any two gates of paradise. One day, I was one of seven people, including the prophet, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم , we had no food except for tree leaves, me and Sa’ad Ibn Malek shared one garment, I used half of it to cover my body and he used the other half, but the hardship passed, and the religion of Allāh (تعالى) has been established and each one of us became an Amīr of an Islamic city or a province.”

Our beloved Amīr! This also reminded me with the dangerous time that confronted Islam and the Muslims after the prophet had died. When the entire Ummah became apostates except for Mekkah and Madinah, the righteous people were afraid, Muslims became a very small minority; Kuffar and Hypocrites became influential and sharpened their swords, but Allāh (تعالى) gave this Ummah a man no less than a mountain in resolve and firmness, Abū Bakr Al-Sidīq رضي الله عنه . Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه prepared his army to fight the apostates and, at the same time, has ordered the Osamah Army (that was being prepared to attack the Roman empire, at the order of the prophet before his death) to proceed to attack the Romans. The Ummah was facing one of its darkest, if not the darkest times, but Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه put his trust in Allāh (تعالى) and did what the prophet would have done had he been alive. Osamah Army took it to the road to the Roman empire under the worse circumstances facing the Umaah, but by the Grace of Allāh (تعالى), this army was most successful and most bless. Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه did what he did because the last words spoken by the prophet before he died were: Send off Osamah Army Send off Osamah Army.

The Ummah is now facing similar hardship, and as Allāh (تعالى) made it possible, back then, for Osamah Army to be sent to fight the Romans on their turf and for Abū Bakr to fight the apostates elsewhere, He is surely capable of making it possible now.

O Allāh (تعالى)! Send off Osamah Army.

Our beloved Amīr, we ask Allāh (تعالى) to preserve you, and lengthen your life, and make you a thorn in the throats of the enemies of Allāh (تعالى). We ask Allāh (تعالى) to bless you and end your life (when He wills it) with a martyrdom. We await your orders as to the next stage of the plan.

Wa Assalam
